Install the dependencies
On Debian or Ubuntu:
sudo apt-get install build-essential cmake libreadline-dev qtbase5-devThe core engines need only the C++ standard library. Qt5, readline and OpenMP are picked up automatically when present.
Build from source
cd semoce-eda
cmake -S . -B build -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release
cmake --build build -jThe build produces three engines, agni, sutra and kala, plus the viewers agni-gui and sutra-gui when Qt5 is installed. Add build/ to your PATH or copy the binaries to a directory on it.
Fetch the SKY130 process kit
The open SKY130 process kit provides the Liberty timing libraries, LEF geometry and GDS cell layouts the flow needs. The preview release ships a helper that downloads the SKY130 high-density standard-cell reference files into the install. Inside a script, select the kit with:
set_pdk sky130
read_builtin_lib sky130Verify the install
Start an engine and ask for help. Each engine opens an interactive TCL shell when run without a script.
$ agni
agni> help
agni> help create_clockIf help lists the commands, the install works. Continue with the Quick start.
